Last updated: February 22, 2026. These Terms of Service govern your use of SimplyScan, operated by Kraftwire Software.
1. Service Description
SimplyScan is a security and speed optimization scanning tool that analyzes publicly deployed web applications and public GitHub repositories for potential security vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks. Free scans cover 4 categories with 19 checks. Pro Reports ($14.99 per scan) unlock all 14 categories with 51+ checks including GitHub repo scanning and speed optimization audit.
2. AI-Generated Results & Disclaimer
SimplyScan uses artificial intelligence to analyze code. AI-generated results may contain inaccuracies, false positives, or false negatives. Reports are provided on an "as-is" basis and should be treated as a starting point for your security review.
3. Refund Policy
Pro Report payments are non-refundable. Each Pro Report includes two (2) complimentary rescans of the same URL or repository within 14 days of purchase. Goodwill replacement scans may be granted for technical failures at our sole discretion.
4. Account & Payment
Pro Report payments are processed through Stripe. Each $14.99 payment purchases one Pro Report scan with two free rescans within 14 days. There is no subscription.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to scan applications you do not own or have authorization to test, and not to use scan results to exploit vulnerabilities in third-party applications.
6. Intellectual Property
Scan reports are licensed to you for personal or internal business use. You may not resell or publicly publish reports for commercial purposes.
7. Limitation of Liability
Kraftwire Software shall not be liable for damages arising from undetected vulnerabilities, inaccurate results, or actions taken based on scan findings. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific scan.
8. Infrastructure & Security Standards
SimplyScan is built on infrastructure that is SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001:2022 & GDPR certified (certifications held by infrastructure providers). All data protected with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit.
